Since the next few months are filled with various holidays, does anyone have any holiday themed artwork to share?

I just had my very first illustration job for a Christmas mailing. When I was ready I made my own dark version:

    How do you like it?

      Hi Heiko,

You did a very good job. : )
I'm a fan of the darker side of christmas images...this one looks like it could also double as a Valentines image if a cupid's bow was added. What made you decide on using dark angels?

      Take care,

        Hi Gina,
thank you for your kind words. Cupid's bow! A good point. Maybe I can sell it again later this year.
A few weeks ago I was asked to make the package illustrations for a christmas mailing. The headline was a play of words. In Germany the word for putto (those angel figures) is the same as "to putt" in golf sports. So I made those angels on a golden ground with some miniature golf equipment around them. Inside the box you could find a mini miniature golf court and a little metal ball.
When the job was finished, I made this dark version for me, because the other was a little too nice in my view. I have uploaded the 1st version to my photos if you are interested.

          Hi Heiko,

I stopped by your album to look at the 1st version of the angels. : ) I never would have expected them to be in a golfing scenario...your packagina idea is very original. I'm sure it will get alot of attention for your client.
Resale is always important...perhaps you could talk the same client into doing a Valentine's mailer, and the angels could be recurring characters for all of their promotions?

          Take care,
          Gina
